A dense evergreen with a narrow upright habit and soft feathery sprays of creamy green foliage on orange-brown stems. Low Maintenance, no pruning necessary. Leaf blight and leaf miners may be occasional problems.

Planting

A wide range of soils are tolerated, including red clay, but Arborvitae prefers moist but well-drained neutral to alkaline loamy soil. They don't like an overly dry site. Maintenance is minimal with very little if any pruning ever required.
