Ensure proper soil conditions by adding compost or well-rotted manure to the planting area and thoroughly mixing it with the existing soil. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and deep as the root ball of the Skip Laurel plant to allow for easy root spread and establishment. Gently remove the plant from its container, loosening the roots if necessary, and place it in the hole at a level surface with the surrounding soil. Backfill with soil, pressing down gently to eliminate air pockets. After planting, water thoroughly to help the roots settle, and maintain consistent moisture during the first growing season for optimal root development.
